The Japanese Garden is a gem in the northwest of the North Park. There is no entrance fee.
Moreさ く ら, as the Japanese would say! Sakura, the cherry blossom. There are a lot of cherry blossom trees in Duesseldorf. Every year from the end of March / beginning of April thousands of cherry blossom trees bloom in the state capital. A really good place to enjoy this unique natural spectacle is Zietenstrasse in Dusseldorf-Golzheim. A real insider tip!
Short period
But you have to be quick, the blooming time is only about two weeks, then all the splendor is fallen to the ground. But that's what makes it so special. A not so well-known, but definitely worthwhile sightseeing spot in our city.
Attention when taking pictures
Attention! If you want to take photos - of course you want to - don't do that at the Zietenstrasse / Mauerstrasse intersection. The synagogue of the Jewish Community of Düsseldorf is on that corner. There are no signs prohibiting photography, but the police is always there. For security reasons, the cops make sure that no photographs are taken there and in case of doubt will request that the corresponding pictures will be deleted. But there are more than enough trees on the street that are suitable as a photo spot.
