Icerink on Koenigsallee

When winter is coming, the locals of Duesseldorf grab their skates and go to Koenigsallee. From November to January there is a large ice rink on Corneliusplatz: the DEG Winterworld. Beginners and professionals race around the majestic fountain. If you are not a good skater, you can rent plastic animals and use them as skate help. Also skates can be rented as well.

Music is played via large speakers, and when the local icehockey Team Duesseldorfer EG is having a match - they Show the game  on a LED screen.

Next door is an alpine hut, where you can find Austrian specialties and freshly tapped Altbier. At the same time, the Christmas market will be running in the immediate vicinity until the end of December.
